Angela Caiazza is a dually licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in the states of Oregon and Nevada. She completed her Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology at the University of Nevada Las Vegas while also attending The International Bible Institute specializing in Pastoral Theology. During this time, Angela contributed to the leadership of the Las Vegas Dream Center helping to empower inner-city families and traveling the west coast, speaking and encouraging communities of local churches to do the same. Later completing her Master of Science degree in Marriage and Family Therapy, Angela trained as a certified alcohol and drug counselor intern and tobacco cessation specialist, providing outpatient drug and alcohol services for adults and adolescents in the greater Las Vegas area and contracting with local domestic violence shelters and safe houses, helping women and their children succeed at escaping a life of abuse and trauma.
Over the past decade, Angela has worked and trained for both outpatient and residential services, in a variety of settings including agency (non-profit and profit sectors), as well as private practice. Her work and life have forged a unique understanding of families struggling with addictions and other mental health disorders, affecting the family as a whole. She implemented the first couples group initiated at a managed care facility focusing on improving communication and intimacy with those presenting with symptoms of depression and anxiety with great success. Also during this time, Angela was recognized and awarded for her upbeat and positive attitude by her employer and peers.
Angela currently resides here in the Portland area with her family. She established Fulfillment Family Therapy to help foster healthy thinking, coping, living and relationships, improving the quality of life for the community at large. It’s because of her value for strong relationships that she also established a local therapist networking group to aid and encourage others in her profession, further empowering her vision of creating healthy communities, one relationship at a time. Angela also had an opportunity to film for MTV’s Emmy award winning documentary series True Life, portraying the unique struggles of today’s youth. In her spare time she enjoys time with her friends, family and the many great outdoors Oregon has to offer. Some of her hobbies include writing, exercise, dance, photography, playing drums and riding motorcycles.
